Multi Access Centre
In 2022, Pink Lizard set up the "Multi Access Hub" in Saffron Lane and Eyres Monsell Estates, two areas in the UK that are facing issues with skills shortages, educational disadvantages, and low employment rates. The aim of the Hub is to provide young people between the ages of 13 and 25 with the resources, training, skill development, and support they need to improve their prospects and find better economic opportunities.
Over the course of the three-year project, the Multi Access Hub plans to engage with over 300 young people in the two estates and achieve over 900 measurable positive outcomes and progressions. These outcomes include securing new jobs, enrolling in academic and apprenticeship programs, creating new businesses and self-employment opportunities, developing high-demand digital skills, and improving soft skills such as self-confidence, self-belief, self-worth, resilience, team-working, and communication.
By establishing the Multi Access Hub in the heart of these communities, Pink Lizard is working to create positive change and improve the lives of young people.
The Hub is specifically designed to serve young NEET people who face complex barriers to personal and economic development, including long-term unemployment. By providing these young people with tangible resources and support systems, the Multi Access Hub hopes to help them reach their full potential and enter the labor market.
